Welcome Circle/Shared Reading - Mentor Text

Introduce genre/reading skill for the week using a mentor text to model the skill of the week, and to provide readers with complex vocabulary.

Independent Reading Time

Readers will have the option to choose book a book from the Lit Kids Club selection, or a book from home, to practice the shared reading skill for the week.

Hype Session

Readers share out about the book they read to hype it up and persuade others that they should read it too!

Closing Circle

Each reader will be provided take-home materials to continue practicing the weekly skill!
